First Time Camper in Texas Questions/ Willing to travel surrounding state

So as the title says, going to go camping with my girlfriend for the first time as a surprise for her birthday. More so looking for a glamping/cabin situation since i want to make sure we’re not figure out how to do it all and focus on the trip and her. We don’t have equipment also so this will allows us to find out if we really like it since we’ve talked about wanting to for so long.

Question is where in Texas would this be the best? Ideally a place with water and hiking trails but don’t care too much if not, more so the experience of just being out in nature. Honestly willing to drive to a bordering state if there’s places batter recommended for first timers with better views/scenery. We’d be going end of September.

All help and advice would be very much appreciated!! ALSO I’m located around austin so just for reference.
