Locked out of account. Code not working on landline.

I haven't used my PayPal in a long time and I've forgotten my password. The only option I'm getting to reset is an automated phone call to my mum's landline. I get the call fine but when I type in the code, nothing happens and it just keeps saying to enter the code until it gives up. I know the phone works with automated system (press 1 for...etc) and I'm pretty sure I've used it for codes like this before. Any idea what I can do?
