Easily distracted - Vyvanse
Hello. I have just started university this week and I have started Vyvanse 2 months ago just right before attending uni. I have not studied for years (only a few courses to get my grades up) so I was very curious how it would turn out because I have always had HUGE problems with distractions when the teacher talked and my grades weren’t that good either.
So now to the problem, i have had Vyvanse 30mg ,50mg and my current 70mg. 70 worked amazing with keeping me calmer and have more patience and a lot less anxiety, but this week i started uni and i thought it was going to be good and I wouldn’t have distractions but it literally couldn’t concentrate, I zooned out almost the whole lecture.. I took Vyvanse 3 hours before the lecture and then a protein shake 1 hour before the lecture because I heard protein works well with Vyvanse. I avoid acidic food/drinks and always check, I take Vyvanse on an empty stomach.
I just don’t get it, it works very good with me doing my chores and being calm and a lot better person , can finally hit the gym without it being a burden but when it comes to lectures I get very distracted. I already have the highest dose of Vyvanse (70mg) and I have tried Concerta before even starting Vyvanse at it only made me angry and had to switch to Vyvanse. Is there anything wrong with the med or is it just me? How common is it to still get distracted with the highest dose of Vyvanse? Is there anything I can take with Vyvanse to make the effect better? Any advice would be appreciated.
I am worried I wouldn’t be able to succeed on my university because I really had to work really hard to get there and it’s something I am really interested in but why do I still get distracted?:(
I really need help, if there’s anyone who could share their experience I would be very grateful.
