How can you differentiate a good few days or hypomania when theres so much overlap?

Discussion

Especially as I'm recently diagnosed, I really struggle to know the difference in myself. A lot of signs of hypomania can exist outside of hypomania and many traits are just my personality. But I can't rely on seeing if I develop other symptoms that arent part of my personality bc you don't experience every symptom so I might still be hypomanic anyway if that makes sense?

For example, I pretty much always speak really quick, jumping from topic to topic etc. So I can't rely on that to know if I'm hypomanic (when it gets serious and I'm hard to actually have a conversation with I'm usually past reason). Similair things can be said for things like confidence, self esteem, impulsivity, beieng quite reckless with money etc. Like if I signed up to go do a bungee jump at 2am after 2 minutes of thought isn't necessarily hypomania for me

So I could maybe just focus on noticing other symptoms, but since you dont always experience every symptom, how would I know if the only symptoms I'm having are just more amped up versions of my personality?

Basically unless I recognise that my libido has increased or start hallucinating or smth, how am I supposed to recognise if its a regular day, a really good day, or im hypomanic?
