How to deal with spawn camping?

Hi everyone, I am a new player (just started in July) and I play on console. I’m a silver 4 support and a bronze 1 DPS and last night I was being spawn camped by an echo who was very obviously smurfing. I was playing echo originally and then switched to Mei to freeze myself every time she sticky bomb/ beam comboed me. I literally went 2 and 16 this game because it started from the very first elim she got on me. I asked for help in the chat and my tank helped me once but obviously couldn’t get to me a bunch of times. I don’t usually tilt but I think because I was getting flustered I just kept tilting. My team won luckily but I need to know strategies to deal with this. Is the answer to just get better lol?
