“Clopping” sound at speed - 2016 535dx

As noted, 2016 BMW 535xd, 115k. The sound that is bothering me appears at about 55 mph and is a rapid “clopping” sound like you’d get with excessive tire wear or cupping. No discernible vibration, brand new tires. Does not change when turning. Sounds like it’s the front right, like it’s coming from the passenger side dash. Does not happen when car is coasting, only when under load. What is it?
