my boyfriend says he might be asexual, help

Need Advice :snoo_thoughtful:

hello everyone - my bf has my reddit so ive had to block him temporarily js to ask you all for advice. we're in y10 and up until now he's been quite comfortable with most of the intimate stuff we've been doing but recently, has told me that he thinks he could be asexual.

my initial reacton was to tell him it's fine if he is, ill love him either way, but he also said he feels scared of sex so i told him to look further into it because i think asexuals js don't really want sex, not that they're scared of it, and that it might ja be his age and with all the social pressures surrounding intimacy that makes him feel this way.

he's since taken it back and said he'll "grow out of it" which i dont think is healthy, and that same day tried to initiate intimacy, which he later said he only did in a panic thinking id leave him. i feel so so awful for this, im quite openly sexual and comfortable with that, but i hate that that makes him think id leave him if he didn't want to have sex. does anyone have any explanations on what he could be experiencing and how to help him? thank you if so
