PC specs for playing Satisfactory in ultra wide monitor
TL;DR: hoping to get spec details from those of you who are happy with the performance on UWQHD playing the later stages of this wonderful game.
Hi, everyone. Hopefully this is an appropriate post within this community.
I have been following Satisfactory from the sidelines for ages, I know this is the exact type of game for me. I have mostly gamed on consoles for the last decades, due to its convenience factor. Ironically, the announcement of Satisfactory on consoles for the near future just made me want to get the game and finally play it... on PC (because inventory management on a controller is painful, usually no mods are available and the presumption that the build limits will be lower than on a PC).
So, this old nonce started looking into PC parts again after 25 years and what's good and all that stuff. There's a ton of helpful stuff online, and I am confident I will be able to get a setup that does me well.
But, since I am literally buying this PC to play Satisfactory, I was hoping I could get some anecdotal evidence from some fellow users of what you are running that allows you to run Satisfactory on UWQHD (3440 x 1440) without major hindrances on the later stages of the game.
For context:
- everything below a 5090 is fair game for my GPU budget. If Satisfactory needs it, Satisfactory shall get it;
- I don't know what a "good" frame rate is, but as long as it is smooth and stable I am happy. I normally favour quality over performance on console (but would like to not be stuck on 30 fps on this PC)
- mostly play single player RPGs (couldn't care less about anything competitive);
- I am sure I will play other automation games (consoles don't really offer much there)
- I am dead set on a ultrawide monitor for no other reason than I am an adult and I guess I can;
- the only productivity that matters is the one inside Satisfactory. I am sure the machine will be able to open emails and Chrome, regardless of the setup.
- I am based in the EU, and will be either buying all the components and assemble myself, or I will order a custom machine to meet my requirements. As of right now I don't have any components, so I am not limited with having to navigate any pre-existing restrictions.
Thanks in advance!
