Android App Gmail Issues

Last night, my outlook mobile app started acting up and I can no longer properly use my gmail account on it. When I go to the inbox, it shows up as completely empty, saying "you're done for the day" or something like that. If I search for an email, recieve a new email, or go to certain folders, it will work sometimes, but most of my emails are hidden.

I have tried resetting and logging out of my account, clearing the cache, and restarting the phone, but nothing is working. I have another student outlook email on the same app which works fine--it's just the gmail that started giving me trouble. Any suggestions? Was there an update? I don't remember changing any settings before the issues started.
