Nursing programs- how long they take, schedules

I’m considering starting nursing school, and wanted to know about the lpn program vs rn. I preferably want to start with lpn because it’s shorter and I can bridge to rn when my kids are in school, but all the other colleges I looked at were mon-Friday 9-5 which would not leave time for both work and kids. What is the lpn schedule like at ivy tech? I know the rn program is only a couple days a week for only around 4 hours which would be nice but I would love the stability faster. Does the lpn program take one year? If you started in the spring semester would you graduate the following spring? How long is the rn program? Pros vs cons? Preferably Madison/Sellersburg locations
