Parents at 1st birthday party

We have our daughter's 1st birthday party in a couple weeks, which we are hosting at our house. I have heard jokes/complaints over the years about the dread of parents attending kids' birthday parties, and I want our friends to have a good time. What are some fun things you have seen over the years at kids' parties to make the party more enjoyable for the adults (besides food and drinks)?
