Possible (temporary) crash fix

TECHNICAL ISSUE

Im just going to post this here on the off chance it can help someone else out. I cannot guarantee that it will work for you but it has 100% worked for me.

Since the August 5th update I've been crashing EVERY single game. I've tried everything under the sun from reddit posts to steam forums and nothing worked for me at all.

I discovered that the issue (at least for me) was XMP. I tried disabling it in my bios and playing with the limited 2100MHz instead of my rams rated 3600MHz and I have NOT crashed a single time since. And I played 10-12 games over the weekend.

Now obviously this is still not ideal, I paid for 3600MHz ram that I am not not able to use now. Also, the game runs very poorly (im talking 45fps with drops even down to 20fps). Granted, this definitely isn't only ram related, we all know the games optimization has been trash for a while now and there are most likely many factors that play into this.

But if you've tried everything else and still cant play, you could try disabling XMP. It worked for me.

Baskinator just made a post in the official discord addressing the crashes and are supposedly working on fixes. I'll believe it when I see it, they dont have a great track record. For now we're on our own.
