Had a great time exploring Croatia, but also got a fine and have some questions.

Legal ⚖️

Dear Croatians, I did a roadtrip this summer and explored as much as I could in 7 days, places like Istria, Split, Zadar, Omis, you have a beautiful country.

The biggest surprise was how much I enjoyed the non-coastline with beautiful quiet villages as my base where I could drive back to every night.

Plitvice is a natural wonder and in general I was blown away by how beautiful the nature is in Croatia.

That being said, I received via mail a fine of 60 euros for speeding, indicating I can pay half the amount within 3 days. I did so and even sent an email to the indicated address with my transaction report (albeit in Romanian as it's the only way my banking app allows reports to be generated) with the reference information in croatian, with the case number etcetera. And I submitted this same payment report to the website https://eprekrsaji.mup.hr/ where I could access via code my exact offense page.

The offense status now says "Payment in progress" ever since I uploaded my proof of payment, and it's been more than a week. I also never got any reply confirming the fine is now settled for this offense.

I was wondering, does it take that long or should I follow up to be safe with my driver information? I am unsure if I am missing something and the fine letter mentioned higher fines for not paying half the fine within 3 days/submitting driver info within 15 days.

Any tips, or does it just take a long time for them to clear the payment in the systems, or am I doing something wrong? Thanks for any info you can share!

Your country is beautiful and it was a very pleasant experience visiting it!
