2 weeks post lap

Question

Hey guys. This is half a question, half a rant. I had my lap around two weeks ago. The surgeon didn't discuss it with me afterwards (I was told they would discuss in the follow up) likely as I was loopy after the anesthetic but the anesthesiologist afterwards said to me 'You've been having issues for a long while, haven't you?' and my discharge notes suggested they removed something funky in there.

Whilst I was under they inserted the mirena coil as I agreed, it's worth a shot. Anything is at this point because I've been dealing with constant gastric issues, pain, back pain, the works for years.

My question here is, is it normal to have such intense cramps EVERY SINGLE DAY, and bleeding? Two weeks on? Is it the lap? Is it the coil?

I feel like I'm at my wits end because just when I think it's subsided, my insides launch into what feels like a Charlie horse cramp in my pelvis and it's relentless for an hour or two, goes away and then comes back when I think it's maybe over. I am also spotting during these horrible cramps. This happens periodically throughout the day. The surgeon/gynae did promise me that if the coil wasn't working out for me they would remove it during my follow up. I've been blaming the coil this whole time and have concluded I'd rather just have my period because whilst that feels like hell, at least it's consistent.

I've been having cramps for nearly three weeks as I got my period just before my lap. I think I'm just about going to make it to my follow up in October.

TL/DR, are the random, intense cramps joined with spotting that start periodically throughout the day 'normal' two weeks post lap? Or am I right in thinking it is it potentially the mirena coil causing it?
