Too many standing still moments during season 1 finale

I get this show is meant for “teenagers” but the amount of time wednesday just walks up to people she thinks are the evil mastermind just to do nothing becomes hard to ignore.

-confronts thornhill by standing still to talk which gets principal killed and her captured

-uncuffs her hands just to stand still and speak in front of crackstone (results in her dying basically)

-comes across tyler in the jungle but stands still to speak instead of doing something while he hasn’t transformed yet (has to get saved)

-has the opportunity to stab crackstone while he’s distracted but instead shouts to make herself known and to initiate a sword fight against guy with supernatural powers

Is this meant to be a character trait for wednesday where she just freezes when she sees someone? earlier in the season she seemed way more competent
