Mailing medication (Ritalin)

Has anyone ever actually mailed a prescription across state lines? We moved out of state and getting a doctor set up for my son has been a process and any we’ve spoken to will not prescribe the meds unless he’s an established patient for a few months… which obviously doesn’t work..

We still had two refills left where we used to live so I had a family member pick it up and asked them to mail it to us, then realized it’s illegal…we are about to run out and he really needs his meds to function. (Insanity that he can’t get it right away)

Just curious and what others have done.
