Do you have a personal barometer for mental wellness? Mine is how I feel about my pet rabbits
I am about to turn 32 this autumn and I can't believe how badly I've fucked my life up.
Every day I wake up in tears. Every day I sigh and sigh and sigh. Every afternoon I nap to try to pass some time, and every night I lay awake long after my partner has fallen asleep, listening to his even breathing, holding back more tears and trying to fall asleep too.
I don't have to work and I'm disabled so I'm not really able to. I don't have friends. I have children I see once a week; they live with their grandparents. My boyfriend is amazing and I am still going for him. Without him I don't think I could be doing this.
My life feels so empty. We have two pet rabbits; they're an inconvenience more than anything and I am full of remorse for obtaining these nibbling creatures. I know my mental health is not good because just a few months ago I liked the bunnies and wanted a third one. How I feel about my rabbits is a great barometer for how I'm feeling about life in general.
I am wondering if anyone else has a personal barometer like this?
I noticed an online friend centered their whole life around DnD sessions in an interesting way, placing them in a position of extreme importance similar to some people going to church weekly.
