Question on pension fund private equity, senior associate role

Profession Insights

I worked in sell side IB, then corp dev. Interviewing for a senior associate in private markets (infra, real estate, private equity, private credit) for a pension fund.

My current job is very good, but its corp dev/strategy not private equity. I was trying to gauge what salary would be at new job (no indication on posting). For context it is a $10Bn+ AUM pension fund based in a small market in Canada. Senior associate role (the private investments account for ~$3.5bn AUM)

Is this considered a LMM because of the location? MF because the size? What is comp usually like? Should I expect 30-50% of my comp in bonus? Do senior assc get carry?

Basically they are both good jobs, so compensation actually makes a big difference. but i have legit 0 insight into PE pay (outside of MF pay in toronto/new york)
