Need help

I am new to assetto corsa competizione, i have been trying to play single races and so far i am enjoying it. Recently i have started to play custom race weekend with realism and during practice for some reason i start alread at 1 minute time lap and not zero..also when i. Complete the practice, my lap times are blank and so i rank last. What can i do about this? Can someone help me through this
