Canada VS Spain?

Hi everyone,

We need your help making a big decision. My husband (31m) is an American nurse, and I (26m) am an English teacher from Colombia. We just got married here in Colombia, and he has moved here temporarily while we figure out our next steps.

Because of U.S. immigration policies, it's very difficult for me to get a visa to live there. Since we don't want to be apart, we are considering moving to either Spain or Canada.

Canada: My husband used to live in Portland, which is near the Canadian border, so we would be closer to his family there. Spain: We absolutely loved the lifestyle there when we spent a few days on our honeymoon.

The plan is for him to work as a nurse and for me to work as a teacher. However, we've seen that both countries have a high cost of living compared to the average salaries.

What do you think would be the better option for us?
