to study planets or medical lab science?
(i’m in the northeast us if that helps) I’m in quite a predicament, so please please please offer any advice you can!
i recently graduated with a bachelors degree in biology with a minor in astronomy. ive also interned with nasa doing work on planetary atmospheres. i’ve always wanted to study exoplanets & atmospheres.
i applied to local grad schools in similar studies & am currently taking calc iii which is a prerequisite for the programs, but i haven’t found out if i even got in yet. is this a mistake?
i’m also scared because of the current budget cuts with nasa & such… i’m not sure if i’ll even find a job.
my backup plan: get a masters in medical lab science. ideally if i went that route, i’d want to work in embryology/reproductive health or something like cytotrchnology/hematology etc. to do this though, i would need to take prereqs like anatomy/physiology.
so, which has a better job outlook? my current plan is to see if i even get into the grad programs i applied to, & if i don’t, switch to mls.
please help this has been plaguing my mind for months!!
