Console Solos, I have some questions, please. (operations)

Hello everyone. I started playing Operations this past Saturday and have finally unlocked the Ranked Mode. I play Solo because I have always played every other extraction shooter and battle royale alone. I have experience in games like DMZ, Vigor, DayZ, Warzone, PUBG, and I have 7,500 in Hunt: Showdown.

I’m making this post because I have some questions, want to improve, and want to have a better experience in the game. I wouldn’t consider myself a “sweat” that only chases kills as I try to make smart plays and survive with loot. Loot over high kill games is my outlook since Solo vs Teams can kill your bank account very quickly.

👇 Below are my questions. If you can answer some or all of them that’d be amazing and helpful!

1.) How has your Solo survival rate been overall? Like did you die a lot before learning the maps or do you still die more than you extract?

2.) What loadouts do you run most often? Do you always run Purple Gear with Purple Ammo or do you budget a lot?

3.) What operator do you use the most as a Solo player? I’ve been running Hackclaw, but she doesn’t offer any escape options so if I’m getting push hard I’m kinda screwed.

4.) How often do you put the Hot Spots? Do you push the Hot Spots and win/lose 50/50 or do you grub what you can?

5.) What tips & tricks can you give to a fellow Solo to help me survive more gunfights? I know I need to breakdown a 1v3 into multiple 1v1s so if you have any advice outside of that please let me know.

6.) How viable are shotguns? If so, which ammo type is more viable: Buckshot, Slugs, or Flechette?

7.) Do you play Easy or Normal most?

Any questions that you answer is greatly appreciated. Sorry for the long post, but I’m trying to gather all the information I can before I blindly put more time into the game. The game seems like a lot of fun, and it’s nice to finally have a more true to life extraction shooter on console. Well.. until Arc Raiders comes out then I go back to not having a life. 😂
