I read the books

I read both books this weekend. Holy shit! They are so good. I especially enjoyed the first one. It may be one of my new favorite books.

The characters' personalities were different (the ones that made it into the movie anyway). I know that movies can never really convey everything that a book can, but other than the general premise, they were almost completely different stories. Both are good in their own way. The books, however, are definitely do a better job of explaining things that the movie could not or didn't have the time to do.
