How do I find a carpool to college?

So I'm living at home during my first year of college but I don't have my liscence. Would putting up a poster on the lounge wall asking if anyone can pick me up be weird to do? Today is my first day so my mom agreed to drive me, but I know she can't do that indefinetly.
