Are kids really that annoying?

A post got popular on BPT about how we need more separate space for adults and children but I thought about it and I cannot remember the last time I was ever annoyed or even inconvenienced by a child in public. It reads like people have one bad experience out of the year and now kids need to be banned from ever space they frequent. Are kids acting up where you live?
