i want my housemate to move out

I’ve been dealing with a nightmare situation in my house for over a year now and I just need to get this off my chest.

One of my housemates has a boyfriend who basically lives here even though he’s not on the tenancy. He takes over the kitchen for hours, makes a mess, and even walks around in his underwear after being told it’s inappropriate. He’s loud, inconsiderate, and it’s like he has no awareness that this isn’t his house.

The worst part is my actual housemate. She constantly complains about him to us, but then enables all of his behaviour. She’s admitted before that “there isn’t much she can do about it,” yet she still acts like these problems are new to her whenever it gets raised. That’s insulting, because I (and even other housemates) have seen and heard her telling him to leave the room when I walk in, telling him to stop talking to people mid-conversation, or coaching him on what he can and can’t do before they come inside. Clearly, she knows what the issues are.

We’ve already had talks about this. The first time I brought it up she literally got up and walked away. The second time (at the pub), she started with, “I’m just going to say my thoughts and we’ll leave it at that.” I left none the wiser. Now she’s pushing for yet another house meeting like nothing’s ever been addressed. What’s the point? Am I even going to be allowed to speak this time? Does the fact that a conversation happened “ages ago” suddenly make it invalid?

It’s not just her boyfriend anymore — it’s her. She’s been dismissive, dishonest, and has taken no meaningful action to sort things. Our landlord has already set the rules and made it clear to her, so why should I waste my time sitting through more circular conversations that lead nowhere?
