Do you allow toddlers to take other kids toys or do you encourage them to wait and share?

My daughter is 22 months and her playgroups have started back up after a summer break. Its a new play group and the moms seem to let the kids just take eachothers stuff, leading to the kids screaming, crying or fighting. My daughter’s other playgroup parents would intervene and encourage sharing. I was doing this with my daughter and encouraging her to wait her turn not to just rip it from kids hands.

Im worried if Im intervening too much and affecting her social development which might discourage her from trying to engage with others in the future. What do you do? Am I overstepping by getting involved?
