Are “seasons” permanent in this game?

Sorry, I spend too much time in ARPG world and couldn’t think of another way to phrase the title. Basically I’ve been tracking the game for a long time and see these updates and people unlocking things and now Voyagers got me really motivated to jump in, I’m just wondering if there were cosmetic or ships or things that were only obtainable at a certain point in time :)
