First time makeup user in my mid 30s - what's the bare minimum I can get away with?
So I've never worn makeup in my life as I've never had interest unless it was a super formal occasion such as a wedding in which case I'd pay to have my makeup done. Even then, I hate wearing it.
I've worked in a job that was very relaxed dress-code wise however I will be very shortly making a career change into an office based job where the over all vibe is smart casual and I'll be going through the interview process soon.
While I realize theoretically I don't have to wear makeup for the interview and the job itself, I do think you need to look the part for where you are applying and I think a very light casual makeup look would be appropriate. However, I found out very quickly attempting a light makeup look takes a lot of skill. I started with foundation and I surprisingly managed to get the colour right but I just can't get it to even out nicely across my face. I haven't even attempted anything else because this has stressed me out enough haha.
My question is - are there any tips or tricks that are absolutely bare minimum and can be attempted by a deeply unskilled first time makeup user in her 30s to look a bit more put together?
