Should I get a job in first year?

I'm in my first year at Laurier this year and in an apartment-style residence, which means I need groceries. Throughout high school, I always had a job, but it was very low-commitment. I am thinking about applying to Wilf's because I am petrified of running out of money, but I am someone who was really burned out towards the end of high school, and I'm scared I'm going to fuck up my academic and social life.
