Do you keep your NCARB record active?

Career Discussion

If I work at a firm under principal architects, never use my stamp on drawings, never plan to work for myself, do I need to keep my NCARB record? I do pay for my state license in Colorado (Dora). But honestly I can't see why to pay for the ncarb record every year.

I had a few years unemployment and had to let ncarb lasp, now it would be $1500 in back fees for me to renew it. Why do I need to?

Thanks
