Is it feasible to live in Pensacola as a college student?

My boyfriend and I are exploring our options right now. I live in VA but don't know what it's like in Pensacola regarding income. I'm only 18 and in college but plan to transfer somewhere else because it's too expensive in VA. Will Pensacola be better with how the minimum wage is with jobs and apartments?

(VA Apartments are 1400+ for rent and the lowest of seen being paid by the hour is 13 an hour)
