Shinkansen reservations

Hello all,

Will be traveling from Tokyo to Kyoto 10/02, Kyoto to Hiroshima 10/03, Hiroshima to Kyoto 10/04 and back again to Tokyo on 10/08.

I am traveling with a group of 8. Should we be considering buying reserved seats for these travel dates? Or will purchasing at the stations be ok.
