HDMI not working on ASUS ProArt PA279CV

I just bought a ProArt display and when trying to connect it to my Mac Mini via HDMI nothing seems to work it keeps saying no signal on HDMI 1 and 2, I then tried to connect via USB-C and that worked just fine. So I was wondering if this is like a known thing or if there is an easy way to fix it. It’s not the end of the world that I have to use usb-c but I already have a hdmi I my setup so I was hoping I could just switch them and then use the usb-c if I ever wanted to connect my laptop.
