AIO: For not talking with my brother after he got mad at me over a water spill

I f26 got a text message at work telling me that I would be responsible if the truck(my oldest brother m40) suffered any water damage. Confused I asked him what he was talking about. He said that his wife noticed that I spilled water on his truck when I did laundry that morning. We don’t have a dryer so you have to manually take your laundry outside to hang it and since I had a small load, I figured I would take it all by hand. It is possible I spilt water, but I don’t recall I said. He called me out saying that I spend all day teaching children, how to be responsible but can’t take my own responsibility into consideration. He said it would be on me to spend $20,000 repainting the truck paint coat if damaged. I didn’t respond much, but I told my sister the second oldest f38. She told me to tell my dad as soon as I got home from work hoping he would mediate and help my brother understand that I was hurt by his behavior. But he ended up agreeing with my brother and said my brother was very upset how I responded to his actions. I haven’t spoken to him since or his wife, even though we live together. I don’t know. I’m still very hurt by what he said about my work, but I don’t know if I’m taking it too far.
