Our Generation Cdrama Review
I started this drama after seeing some edits, and honestly the visuals got me — everything looked so pretty, cinematic, cozy, and lovey-dovey. I thought it would be deeper, but watching the first 4 episodes, it turns out it’s kinda surface-level and cliché… though not in a terrible way.
The cinematography really is pretty, the setting has a warm nostalgic vibe, and the friendship dynamics are fun to watch. The cast is good-looking, the mood is light, and it’s easy to vibe with.
But yeah, the tropes are strong here: the classic cheerful poor girl × reserved topper boy setup, plus a love triangle that’s super predictable. Both leads sometimes feel weird and even a bit manipulative, and the acting isn’t exactly premium — occasionally overacted.
Still, I’m not hating it. The cozy vibe and fun factor make it watchable, and I get why people enjoy it. For now, I’d give it a solid 8/10 — but we’ll see if it holds or dips once the clichés really kick in.
