Zoom Meeting noise suppression

(On PC, HP laptop) Whenever I join a zoom meeting, there’s some sort of noise suppression that happens. I can barely hear the other people in the meeting and it sounds static. If I have a zoom meeting running in the background and try to play a YouTube video in another tab, the entire audio of that video is altered and i can only hear words/voices but no music or sound effects.

This is like pathological noise suppression because it’s suppressing peoples voices to the point where I can’t even hear them. Any way around this?
