Can't make NPC's follow

I used NFF to make Gabriella (Dark Brotherhood) a follower. However, after she accepted she turns and starts to walk away. I then went into creation kit, added the correct follower commands, gave her a relationship to me and same thing. After asking her to follow me she agrees then turns around and walks off. I had to catch her and then dismiss her. Is there a reason why she's behaving like this?
