i dont know what to do
Hi everyone, I need some advice from people who may have been through the same thing. I'm studying history at university and just finished my first year. It's a subject I've studied and been passionate about since I was little, but this year I've felt like something's missing inside me. I feel a bit empty, like I'm on autopilot in class.if that makes sense.
I don't have anything that motivates me or drives me. And this has me confused. Why do I feel these feelings doing something I've always enjoyed? Maybe it's just anxiety?
I have no idea, and now I can sum up all my thoughts with a single "I don't know." I don't know if I'm enjoying it, if I want to continue, if it's the right path for me, if teaching will be my path. My idea was to be a professor because I enjoy explaining history to people, but it's a really long journey, and the other options I have are few, if any, so I feel confused and stuck.
As an alternative, I was thinking of enrolling in a cybersecurity course because I've always liked the networking field, but even if it could be the smartest thing to do, it's not so easy for me to leave everything and change completely with the risk that I don't like it and that I have "betrayed" my passion.
Thank you so much for your attention and to anyone who can help me.
