Not eligible for 10% Google One credit

Someone help me make sense of this. I have been subscribed to the Premium (2 TB) paid plan for forever. A benefit of that plan is 10% store credit on purchases. I bought a pixel 10 pro. Wow a nice 10% credit for that purchase, right? Oh, well you see, when you buy a P10Pro you are offered a free 12 month trial of Google Al Pro (2 TB). Who wouldn't accept that offer, right!? This phone has so much AI garbage features surely you should take that free trial offer! Sign me up! So I did. But guess what? If you accept the free trial you are no longer eligible for the 10% store credit for you $1,100 purchase, because after all it's a "trial". So go fuck yourself if you think you deserve the 10% credit benefit you've been PAYING FOR for multiple months.
