Do any of you enjoy being surrounded by musical instruments even if you’re not a professional?

I’ve had a deep connection with music since I was a kid. Around age 10 or 11, I asked for an electric guitar and was super excited, but I didn’t know how to play and couldn’t figure it out on my own. A couple of years later, I got interested in the piano and abandoned the guitar. I enjoyed playing, but I wasn’t consistent. Honestly, what I learned back then, I probably wouldn’t have the patience to learn now. I still enjoy sitting down and playing sometimes.

A few months ago, I decided to get an electronic drum set and a new guitar to replace the one I sold.

I just love being surrounded by instruments—it gives me a sense of aesthetics, inspiration, and calm. I’m definitely not a professional; I just enjoy learning pieces here and there. I don’t know much theory.

I’m curious—do other people do this too? Is it weird to “spread yourself out” across multiple instruments, just enjoying looking at them and learning new things, even without being a pro?
