Long situation.

Location: Virginia and Pennsylvania I can't go into to many details for privacy reason but long story short My wife got pregnant when she was 16, her dad kicked her out, so she moved in with her at the time boyfriend, he started drinking alot and accusing her of a bunch of stuff, the boyfriend then attacks her with a hunting knife she almost dies, but she lied to the cops about what happened, her boyfriend kicks her out, she's now homeless and only 17, his family then takes her to court for custody of her child, she moved back to VA with her daughter until the trails, she asked her lawyer (court appointed) and he told her that it'd be fine as long as she made it to court, she shows up for court they arrest her on the spot for kidnapping gives her a year in jail and forced her to sign her rights. It's been 10 years and its been eating at her so much. Is there any any chance we have to fight for her back?
