I'm struggling with the possibility of my brother being deported

Not in the way I should.

My brother is very, very difficult. He doesn't respect boundaries, he lets his kids do whatever they want, and I am not permitted to correct them. Even if they're doing something that could hurt my son. He tried to fight my husband on Thanksgiving a few years ago and then spun the whole thing by insisting my husband started it when he didn't. He even tried to convince me, even though I watched the whole thing happen. He makes fun of me for our money situation and is generally unpleasant to be around.

Here's the thing. He came here with his family a few years ago and while he is a legal citizen, his family just got visas and overstayed them. We all know what's going on with deportations in the states. They might get caught and sent back to their home country. I shouldn't want that. I should hope that whatever is the best for his family is what ends up happening. I keep having to redirect myself from thinking about how nice it would be to relax and enjoy holidays like I used to instead of being worried about fights and keeping my son safe from his rough cousin. I feel awful for how much my brain wants to fixate on it. I want that to happen, tho. I want to be able to have my family over to my mom's house without worrying about my brother saying something awful to my husband. I want my son to be able to play without having things snatched from him and having him be dragged around. I want to enjoy holidays without being hyper aware of where my kids and my husband are and if they're alone with my brother or his kids. I shouldn't want my brother to be deported. It's a terrible thing to want.

I suppose he could just stay while his family goes since he's a citizen, but I doubt he'd do that. He's a citizen but I'm regarding his family as a unit, I knew someone would comment on that if I didn't say that
