cover or not to cover

the rav 4 xle I just bought, with warranty and protect paint and undercoat: I do not have a garage to park her in. Wondered if I should bother getting a car cover or not. this is all new territory for me. anyone have one? How about those of you who park outdoors, how is she holding up? thanks
