When to know to upgrade your membership?

I’m currently on basic membership and usually spend around 150$ - 200 per month.

Employee tells me to upgrade my membership to executive and I receive cash back even if I use my own Wealthsimple Mastercard.

Like is it ideal to upgrade if I’m spending only 200 per month? Will I get more refund as compared to the executive membership I’ve bought?
