Has this ever happened to anyone

Currently getting death threats for “wasting an escorts time” I fell asleep waiting for her to respond after asking rates and the usual convo before meeting but I woke up today to her “pimp” calling and texting saying he’s gonna off me and my family unless I pay up bc I wasted her time? How serious could this be ?
