How did actually playing the game change your perspective on the characters?

SpoilerDiscussion

For my, I think my two biggest changes were in Mejiro McQueen and Tokai Teio.

For McQueen, I always thought of her as just "that ladylike one who does slapstick with Gold Ship" or "Teio's rival." Actually playing through her campaign made me appreciate her more as a character, and now she's one of my favorites.

Teio, on the other hand, had me by the heart through all of Season 2, but actually playing the game was a slight letdown. Super Creek's health issues have more of an impact on her storyline than Teio's.

Plus, there's something about watching a race where she procs zero skills despite having 500 wit and then coming to me crying about not being the top rate Uma she always wanted to be that hardens my heart a tad.
