"That One Small Error… and the reason why nobody else gave a damn.

During a meeting last week, I made the simple error of confusing the details of two projects, which instantly caused my face to flush.

I was convinced that everyone thought I was incompetent, so I spent the entire evening mentally reliving the mistake rather than concentrating on the fact that it was a minor one.

What's funny? Nobody even recalled the error the following day. They were all occupied with the next step.

I came to the realization that, in the tech industry (and most likely in most workplaces), people aren't as concerned about our minor errors as we may believe.

I'm curious as to how you keep yourself from having a complete breakdown following these minor incidents at work.
