Work Computer Free for All

Question

Hi PCMR, I've been given basically free reign by my new employer to give them the specs I want for a machine at my new job. Some of the staff have/are issued MacBook Pros so I am using that as a price comp knowing that I want a good PC/windows machine instead of a mac. I know very little about computers so am trying to make sure I list off what is important and get myself something good that will last an hold up to 40+ open tabs, tons of offline files, and running lots of large excel sheets, pdfs, and word document simultaniously (editing 300 page documents with embedded graphics). Id love any feedback on the following:

  • CPU Intel Core i7 (H-series) or i9 / AMD Ryzen 7/9 H series or M4
  • RAM 32B GB
  • Storage 1 TB SSD
  • GPU Integrated graphics with possible secondary GPU (AMD)
  • Display 14-17"

Thanks for any advice!
