Organization

Hello all, I am a new dentist running an office by myself and having trouble with some very basic organization. The old dentist did not have a good system in place for organizing burs that have been autoclaved but are still usable. The assistants currently just throw them into what little room we have left in the operatory drawers.

I was thinking of buying an organizer box to put in my office with dividers to put used, autoclaved burs into in an organized fashion. That way, if I’m working on a tooth and I realize I need a different 557 for instance, I can just go to my organizer box and grab a used one thats still usable.

What do you guys do to organize these burs? Is it a safety risk to remove the autoclaved burs from the package to fit them into the organizer box?
